Black carved roses are set into a heavy gold-tone filigree oval, with small pearls tucked between the petals. Above the oval, a pale carved rose sits on a disc ringed in black stones. Baroque in the literal sense: the frame is worked as hard as the thing it holds. Write to the atelier if you want to see the carving in daylight.
