An engagement dress covered entirely in handmade fabric roses. They are built in three sizes and four tones, from deep rose through blush to ivory, and set closest together across the bust and hip so the density falls away toward the hem. Underneath them is a plain tulle base cut to the knee.

The hem is the detail worth looking at twice: instead of finishing the roses at the edge, we run a border of small pale green leaves around the whole circumference, cut in a scallop, so the dress ends in a garden edge rather than a straight line.

It is a short dress and it is heavy, which is a real consideration for a long evening. We balance the weight at the fitting by moving flowers rather than by adding structure. Message the atelier in Amman on WhatsApp and we will show you the rose samples first.
