Two techniques in one bridal gown. The skirt is pure silk, cut as a narrow column and left completely plain, with a slit opened at the centre front. Over it sits an open overskirt of tulle and appliquéd lace that frames the silk instead of covering it, so the plainest fabric in the dress is the one you see most.

The bodice is the opposite. It is built up in three-dimensional ivory flowers and feather trim, strapless, with the blooms crowded at the neckline and thinning toward the waist. A single large fabric flower is made to match as a headpiece, and a plain tulle veil goes over both.
