A nude gown worked with gold lace in the shape of branches, running from the hem up through the bodice so the metal reads as growth rather than as pattern. The lace is made by hand and set piece by piece onto a sheer ground, which is why the branches sit slightly proud of the fabric.

Over it goes a full tulle overskirt in the same nude, open at the front, so the embroidery stays visible while the silhouette keeps its weight. The overskirt lifts off, and the gown underneath is a narrow column.
