Golden PetalsBridal Couture · Hanan Bakri
An ivory gown worked in gold metallic petals. They are cut in two sizes, laid across the skirt in loose clusters rather than a repeating pattern, and set so they are sparse at the waist and heaviest around the knee. Nothing about the placement is symmetrical; it is set on the stand, on the body, and it changes with the height of the wearer.
The neckline is a folded off-shoulder band, pleated and striped through with gold sequins, and it sits low enough that the shoulders are entirely open. The back drops to a deep V edged in the same gold. The veil carries the petals too, in a lighter scatter.
The house records the cloth as Rafacoli. It holds a crease well, which is why the band keeps its fold. Write to us on WhatsApp and we will show you the bolt in Amman.
