An apricot evening dress that is draped rather than constructed. The neckline drops to a deep V at the front and at the back, and the whole body is gathered to a single point at the waist where a large oval jewelled brooch holds the folds in place. Everything else hangs from that one fixing.

The cloth is sheer and shot through with gold, beaded in fine chevron lines that run down the length of the skirt and pull the eye toward the floor. The hem is uneven by design: short at the front, long at the sides, and trailing behind into a soft train, with a scalloped beaded edge all the way round.
