A black cape abaya cut wide enough that it hangs clear of the body on every side. There is no shoulder seam and no waist: the cloth falls from a standing collar in one piece to the floor, and the arms come out through openings cut into the sides rather than through set sleeves.

The embroidery is placed only around those openings. Gold filigree scrollwork is worked in dense panels above and below each one, in metallic thread with sequins caught into it, so the gold sits exactly where the arm moves and nowhere else. The collar carries a band of the same gold.
