A champagne satin ballgown worn under a gold lace cape. The cape is the worked piece: long sleeves, a scalloped border embroidered in gold thread and sequins, and it is cut open down the front so the satin skirt shows the whole way through. A cathedral veil is edged in the same lace so the two borders answer each other.

Underneath, the bodice is beaded across the chest in gold and crystal and the skirt is box pleated satin, wide and clean, with no decoration on it at all. A narrow beaded belt marks the waist under the cape.
