A black silk mermaid gown with the only crimson beadwork in the collection. The bodice is a halter, cut to a V, and filled with hand-set Swarovski flowers in deep red and garnet on a black ground, with fine crystal chains falling loose from the beading down over the waist.

A band of black feathers sits across the top of the bust. Below the waist the silk is ruched close to the body to just above the knee and then breaks into a wide circular flare, so the skirt sweeps out flat behind her rather than gathering into a train.
